Silicone Neutral
Preparation
Working Conditions: Use only at temperatures between +5°C and +40°C.
Preliminary treatment: For a neat result, use masking tape along sides of joint. To avoid trhee-sided bonding, first fill joint with foam backer rod or PE foil.
Tools: Use sealant gun to handle cartridge.
Application
Coverage:
1 cartridge for approx. 8m, joint size 6x6 mm
Handling of packaging: Use sealant gun to handle cartridge Open cartridge by cutting off plastic nipple above screw thread with a sharp knife. Attach nozzle to cartridge and cut it slantwise at desired bead size.
Directions for use:
Ensure joint width is between 6 mm and 20 mm. Joint depth depends on joint width. Up to 12 mm, keep to a joint depth of 6 mm. Above that, joint depth is half the size of joint width. Fill joint evenly with sealant and tool within 10 minutes using a putty knife or Bison Silicone Multitool wetted with a soap solution. Remove masking tape immediately after tooling. A surface skin will appear after approx. 15 minutes. Cured silicone sealant can only be removed mechanically. For aquariums, use only Bison Silicone Glass.
Stains/Residue: Remove fresh stains immediately with white spirit. Cured sealant can only be removed mechanically.
Points of attention: Silicones cure under the influence of air humidity. Contact with air humidity is therefore essental during curing. Always ensure joint is at least 6 mm wide. For perfectly smooth joints, mask areas adjacent to joint with masking tape. Remove tape immediately after tooling.
